Praying For The Man You Love | Day 12: His Future

Dear Heavenly Father,

I thank you that he has committed his footsteps to Your ways, that he has built his plans upon the Rock of ages, Who never fails or forsakes. Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is Your purpose that prevails, and when we set our hope upon Your plan, amazing things unfold.

Oh God, I pray for my Love’s future- for his plans, his journey, and his success. May he trust in You wholly, and not lean on his own understanding; I pray in all circumstances he will give honor to You and listen to Your direction, that his paths will be made straight.

May the desires of his heart please you and line up with Your will, that they may be granted, Father. Help him to be content, to give thanks in all circumstances. Bless everything he puts his hand to, every good work that he does in Your name that it may prosper, that every seed he plants under your guidance may grow and flower.

His future is bright because You are the One who holds it. May he never worry or feel lost, because he knows who holds tomorrow. Help him to keep his focus on you, to desire Your greater plan.

Dear Jesus, help him to remember that someone died for him, to live his life with the passion of knowing it is worth so much. May he grow up into everything You have for him, Father.

I thank You and praise You! In Jesus’ name, amen!

I literally was praying over Proverbs 21:2 yesterday! It says, “Every way of a man is right in his eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts.”
So many times I’m in the middle of doing something and it isn’t ’til after I’ve finished doing it that I realize my heart hadn’t been in the right place. I was doing it for me, and my glory, instead of for God’s glory. That’s why it’s important that we stop long enough to hear His gentle voice, or else we’ll continue to glorify ourselves.
“Most men will proclaim every one his own goodness: but a faithful man who can find?” ~ Proverbs 20:6 Faithfully giving the glory to the One who is worthy of our praise brings the right kind f glory to our selves. The glory of the Father on an humble heart – joy. This is the happiness we seek and will never be able to have if we constantly direct the glory to our selves.
My we all learn to be humble in heart. <3
