Praying For The Man You Love | Day 10: Godly Influences

Dear Jesus,

I lift up his friendships to you, asking you to provide him with godly influences and wise counselors. I pray that he will have fellow believers to fall back upon, to seek advice from, and to joyfully share in this life with. May the voices he lends his ear to be anointed by You, led by Your spirit, and full of life.

God, give him peers who live their lives for you, who speak life into one another and who are ablaze with Your love. I pray You will bring godly men into his life who spur him on, men who can relate with him in the various stages of life and will be an encouragement.

Through church, through work, or even through school: let him meet ministering hearts and may he also be a ministering heart to those You bring across his path. Guide him through friendships, help him to be wise in choosing his company: showing love to the world but being fed by the Body of Christ.

You are a good and wise God, and You provide exactly what we need, never letting us lack. I praise You for the good friends he does have, for the diversity of ages, that he interacts and grows among all the believers You have placed in his life.

Father, thank You for Your church and that You have designed for us to be strengthened by one another. May he be inspired, uplifted, and challenged by the Christians You put in His life, may he grow and in turn be a spiritual blessing to others.

Thank you so much for this, Lord! In Your Son’s name, amen.

The fellowship of the Church is a wonderful thing. I’m so glad God gave us one another for encouragement 🙂 Yes, I hope and pray “My Man” has godly friends that are a good influence on him and are bringing him closer to Jesus. The friends we choose are very important because the people we hang around we end up becoming like. They will either bring us to God or lead us away.
